Ever since I jumped on the double cleansing train, I have been totally obsessed, and can safely say that I will never get off it. I have experimented with all sorts of oil-based balm cleansers, and love many. However, I can say definitively that the De Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm is the most luxurious cleansing balm you will ever encounter. Ever. In your entire life.
It is extraordinarily indulgent. In fact, I still am surprised every time I use this skincare product by how f*****g fabulous I feel afterwards. To start with, it is incredibly aromatic– the scent is the embodiment of the word ‘divine’ –and exceedingly nourishing. That being said, it is hard working before anything else. It removes all grime, makeup and daily residue that your face inexplicably attracts throughout the day.
This product truly makes cleaning your face feel less like a chore and more like an actual indulgence. When I have been running around all day and feel my beloved Manhattan seeping into my pores, I genuinely can’t wait to get home and massage this godly product into my face. It is as close to a spa as I will ever get in my bathroom. I automatically feel less stressed after using this product, probably due to the heady and heavenly concoction of ingredients: kukui nut butter, calendula, camella, moringa oil, fragonia, chamomile, rose myrtle, rose geranium, honey myrtle, and eucalyptus. The list is endless!! This specific combination of the essential oils works together to release tension and promote a sense of calm.
I actually love to use this product as a precursor into an aggressive facial massage (sometimes I will add a little bit of gua sha into the mix). After I am done fully massaging the product into my skin, I will get a warm cloth and hold it close to my face to let the aroma of the oils really express themselves (don’t mock me– just try it).
I could continue to extoll the infinite virtues of this product, but I would probably bore you after another paragraph. Final stance: it is genuinely a treat, and I simply cannot get enough of it.
